Little Dachshund

This month is dedicated to our little miniature Dachshund Wilhelm, who suffered from sudden disc compression through the onset of IVDD last week. He had emergency surgery on several discs in his spine and is now at home recovering.

Irrelevant. Not a lover or a fighter. I run with scissors. Boil me the bag but thaw before freezing. Last fuel for 134 miles. Liar. Sometimes funny. I don't suffer fools. My words are for my amusement. If you read them great, if you enjoy them, even better..... If you don't like them at all... then you've made my life complete.

  1. Hello, I’ve just been looking through your blog. I have a little Wilhelm too – though she is a princess called Maggie. She is only four but I already worry about spine issues. Did Willhelm recover?

    • Hi, yes he is a little wobbly, he’s had two further episodes in the following 2 years after his surgery which we managed with conservative (crate) rest. Check out IVDD in Dachshunds group on Facebook and Dodgerslist websites for helpful advice and information. Good luck with Maggie I hope she never suffers this horrible condition x
